The Luck stat is one of the eight different stats inOblivion Remastered, but it appears much more confusing that the other ones.

Focusing on all the eight stats is essential if you want to enjoy a proper build, but unlike stats like Strength and Intelligence, the game doesn’t make it clear what Luck exactly does. The luck stat requires the most amount of understanding, and this guide will provide you with all the necessary information.

What is Luck in Oblivion Remastered?

Luck is a universal stat that’s related to all your skills. Your Luck stat will determine the effects of a skill, and either increase or decrease it. If your Luck stat is above 50, events are likely going to go in your favor. Similarly, events are likely going to go against your favor if your stat is below 50.

Concentrating on the Luck stat is going to make all your skills much more efficient. Typically, it adds a 0.4 modifier, and this is the formula:0.4*(Luck – 50).

Stats in Oblivion Remastered

If your Luck is 50, there’s no difference. If your Luck stat is 60, all your skills will rise by four points. However, this rise in points and change in values is not shown in the open and works in the background.

While it might not seem quite useful at first, the boost is very useful in theearly game. Theoretically, you’ll get a four-point boost to your skills by taking your Luck stat to 60. If your Lack stat raises further, the bonus will be higher.

However, the importance reduces in the long run, as other attributes are far more important.

Should you focus on Luck in Oblivion Remastered?

The Luck stat is required for very specific builds. It’s useful in case of skills that are not used frequently, and the time taken for you to perform them is simply too long.

Additionally, Luck stat has very few other uses apart from their effects on skills. These effects can either be ignored, or there are other ways to manage them. Whether Luck will work in a different way in the Remastered version will depend on future patches. So far, there’s no indication of this stat working in a different way than it did back in the game’s 2006-released version.
