The answer to my self-imposed question here is that this Lamborghini decked out withTekken Tag Tournament 2decals was on display to satisfyTekkenProducer Katsuhiro Harada’s rockstar attitude.

Namco Bandai held their annual press event in Las Vegas last week to show off their upcoming lineup. To go with the Las Vegas theme, Namco had this Lamborghini parked outside of the ballroom with all the game demos at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. No one could actually sit in it, we could only just stare and wonder how much this was costing Namco by the hour.

The only person that could sit in it was Harada, of course, along with his twoTekkencosplaying escorts. Harada was introduced via video before his presentation with theTekkenproducer and cosplayers sitting in the Ferrari, seemingly hungover from a night of partying. They’re coaxed out of the car, make their way into the presentation room, and are followed by dozens of waiters all carrying trays of champagne.

Once on stage, Harada gave his presentation and for the next ten minutes the twoTekkenladies just stood alongside him doing nothing. It was a little awkward, and I felt bad for them. Once the presentation was over, we all raised our glasses and drank our champagne at 11AM in the morning.

Then things got EVEN more weird when Adrianne Curry came out on stagedressed up as Christie Monteiro. She hyped upTekkena little, made some bad jokes and that was the end of the presentations.

So yeah, just another typical day in the videogame industry, folks!
