Where is everybody?

Fullbright’s critically-acclaimed but polarising narrative adventureGone Homeis set to turn heads once again next week, as the indie title arrives on the Nintendo Switch, some five years after its initial release.

Launching in 2013 on PC, before later making the jump to PS4 and Xbox One,Gone Hometells the slight story of Katie Greenbriar, who returns to the family home in Oregon after an extended leave of absence, only to find the house practically abandoned, along with a note to just not investigate the disappearance.

The ghost at the end of the hallway

Players control Katie’s movements around the home, piecing together recent events from notes, diary entries, cassettes and other media. Slowly, a story starts to form of the family’s internal turmoil. Set in 1995,Gone Homefeatures an emphasis on the culture of the time, such as the awesome Riot Grrl movement, that broke out of Washington in the early ’90s.

Gone Homewill be available to download on Nintendo Switch August 23.
