Toplitz Productionshas announcedthat the next in theDynastyfranchise of games will beVampire Dynasty, developed by Mehuman Games. It’s not expected to hit Early Access until late 2024, but they’ve provided a cinematic and gameplay trailer for an early look.
TheDynastyseries of games is a growing series of simulator titles that includeFarmer’s Dynasty,Medieval Dynasty, andSengoku Dynasty. There’s usually a different developer on each one, which has yielded some mixed results. I dug through the press release and found that Mehuman is a small Polish studio founded by developers from Movie Games Lunarium, who created the very NSFWLust from BeyondandLust for Darknessgames.
Which is funny, because the gameplay trailer is the least sexy thing I’ve seen that involves vampires. Four dudes in frumpy outfits running through fields. The cinematic trailer is a bit better, if only because we catch a glimpse of what looks like Rayne fromBloodRayne’ssister. Gotta have that boob window.
The gameplay includes both open-world exploration and a narrative with branching “choices matter” paths. I don’t really see any indication if crafting or survival are parts ofVampire Dynasty’score gameplay, but you can build a castle. I assume so you can protect yourself from those pesky Belmonts.
We’re a long way away from an Early Access release, so while the gameplay trailer seems a bit sparse, there’s a lot of time to buff things up. I’m curious to see howVampire Dynastygoing to compare toV Rising, another open-world vampire game that I think I’m going to reinstall right now. Oh, wait, it looks like I never uninstalled it.
