The sequel to the critically-acclaimedLara Croft and the Guardian of Lightwill arrive just in time to unite friends and family for festivities at the end of the year. Crystal Dynamics’Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiriswas revealed to launch on December 9, as reported byIGN.

The major enhancement to this top-down, twin-stick foray is that more people are welcome on this Egyptian trip. WhereasGuardian of Lightfeatured cooperative play for two,Temple of Osiriscomfortably seats four, with the additional two slots going to Egyptian gods Isis and Horus.

Executive producer Scott Amos said that becauseGuardian of Lightis a fan favorite,Temple of Osirisis “something we want to do right.” We know where Crystal Dynamics’ immediate focus with Lara is, but we don’t yet know when we’ll get to see the results of herpsychiatric care. Regardless, it’s a good time to be aTomb Raiderfan.
