I think the real story here is that we haven’t posted thetantalizing new screenshotsof Rare’sBanjo-Threeiesooner. Still, better late than never, and if you’re one of the … one … gamers that haven’t seen these two lovely images yet, this post is for you!
My sources in Rare are very excited aboutBanjo-Threeieand are pretty much saying that this is going to put the British studio back on the map. While Rare’s pedigree has fallen in the eyes of gamers over the years, it is believed that this one is going to remove all doubts that the developer is a duke of platforming fun. I’ve also heard it sh*ts all overMario 64.

As withMirror’s Edge, it’s truly exhilarating to see bright colors and some original art direction in a game.Threeielooks like it’s bursting at the seams with character, and that’s something we could stand to enjoy a lot more of in this current generation.
Of course, looks aren’t everything, and we’ll have to see if the gameplay can match the visuals. I’ve heard wonderful things though, and have a good feeling about it. Time, like an Austrian daughter, will tell in the end.
