Tim Schafer of Double Fine has hired on Ron Gilbert to make a new game. The pair are responsible for the belovedMonkey Islandgames. What could they be up to now?
Double Fine is working on four games for THQ, and the first of those will be a game calledCostume Quest. This team effort will be something different and new, though Gilbert says that he’s not saying that they’re making an adventure game specifically.
“The old adventure games are something that could come back,” Gilbert toldKotaku. “The Monkey Island stuff did very well on the iPad and the re-release on XBLA. I think there are a lot of people who really do enjoy that kind of game. I think they really could come back.”
