These days, retro-era publishers can get desperate. While they’ve made their fortunes on the traditional arcade and console market, other revenue streams can seem enticing after others have struck gold in ways they’ve never seen before. Such is the mobile market, and the latest publisher to follow the money — Konami.
Of course Konami seems to be getting out of the game entirely, with a shift topachinko machines, and mobile. The newest title they’ve announced will be a newContra, a side-scrolling shooter (so it’s not aCandy Crushclone or something) developed for China on Android and iOS. It currently has a working title.
