You don’t think the Japanese like to pull April Fools’ pranks, too? Well, they do!
Ucchy-san ofRockman Unity, the Japanese equivalent of Capcom-Unity, has revealed Capcom’s grand plan for theMega Manfranchise’s 25th anniversary. Three of the series’ heroines — Roll from Classic, Mayl fromBattle Network, and Luna fromStar Force— are forming a J-pop idol group! And their first album, entitled “Transmission of Your Heart,” will come out on December 17, 20XX, the day of the originalMega Man‘s Japanese release.

The girls’ first live performance will be on the rooftop of the Capcom offices, and limited edition posters of the young ladies will be handed out. Granted, I don’t think a single one of them is older than 13 (save for Roll, who is a robot and thus doesn’t age, but let’s be real here), so you might get a few looks if you try to hang said posters in your room.
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised ff Capcom actuallydoesturn this into a real thing.
