Don’t throw your Switch in terror
Supermassive Games’Dark Pictures Anthologyhas grown into a pretty sizeable library of horror adventures. Now, the first entryMan of Medanis coming to Nintendo Switch.
Bandai Namco and Supermassive Games have launchedThe Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medanon Nintendo Switch today, as the first Supermassive title to hit the Switch. It will still have the core modes of play, in either solo, two-player online, or offline couch co-op for up to five players.

It’s not clear if there are plans to bring the fullDark Pictures Anthology, up to this point, over to the Switch. For now, you’ll just have to make do withMan of Medan. Or head to PC, PlayStation, or Xbox, where the whole series has been running for a while now.
Man of Medanis another entry in what’s become a house style for Supermassive, ever since its breakout hitUntil Dawnon the PlayStation 4. You control various characters caught up in terrifying and potentially supernatural situations, trying to solve what’s going on and make it out alive in the process.

It’s a choice-driven, interactive horror series, essentially. TheDark Pictures Anthologyspecifically links all of its entries together. While a bit shorter than others likeUntil DawnorThe Quarry, they do still tend to have some reasons to replay or interesting multiplayer options. Seriously, if you haven’t had a “movie night” of playing a Supermassive game on the couch with the friends, it’s a good time.

The Dark Pictureshas been an up-and-down series for me. While I’ve generally dug the longer games Supermassive has made, it was reallyHouse of Ashesthat won me over on these anthology entries. But all of them are still a pretty fun time, and great party game fodder.
I’m curious to see how the Switch version performs, as according to theeShop page,Man of Medanwill play at 24 frames per second on the Switch. It’s not an ideal caveat, but if you want to still test it out,Man of Medanis out on Switch right now for $19.99.
