Get ready for the Afterbirth
Edmund McMillen announced some new details today about the upcoming DLC forThe Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, aptly titledAfterbirth. It looks like it’s going to be a HUGE expansion with tons of new content, which Edmund says, “should easily extend the gameplay time by another 100-200 hours.” Holy crap!
The expansion will include, among other things:
– 100+ new items.– A full new game mode that will totally change how you play.– 10 new challenges.– A new playable character.– A new alternate final chapter.– New alternate floors.– New game endings.– Tons of new bosses and enemies.– New item pickups, cards, pills, etc.– Tons of new achievements and rewards for beating the game on hard.– New co-op babies.– New transformations.

Edmund is also asking players to provide suggestions for which item combinations they’d like to see added to the game, giving the example of “Midas Touch + E. Coli = golden poop on touch.” You can submit your suggestions tothis Reddit thread. What do you think would make an interesting combo?
