You’ll still die. A lot.

Teleglitchdidn’t grab me in the same way other roguelikes have… okay, I mean it didn’t grab me the waySpelunkygrabbed me (and refused to let go). Part of it that has to go down to the fact I kept dying and dying really quickly without having much of a grasp as to what I was doing. Thankfully, the developers at Test3 Projects have wisely updated the game with a new Arena mode, which is going to be perfect to get some practice in.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a pretty hard game to get round and death will come quickly to all players, but it’s a great way to get to grips with some of the basics. Each Arena has you fighting off waves of enemies using one of a couple of set loadouts, some of which might not seem too useful but I’ve already had fun having mutants chase after me and then lobbing some dynamite at them.
