Shhh. I’m trying to listen.

Namco Bandai hasdropped a story trailerfor From Software’s upcomingArmored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. Let’s watch, shall we?

Was that really super quiet to you? I had to crank all my volume levers to actually make out what the grim, passionless voice was saying.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon

In any case, I suppose robots fighting a big tank is a type of story. I’m not sure what it tells me about the overarching narrative ofArmored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. I suppose it conveys all the important information: big robots, skate jets, lots of guns. Then there was a person under a tarp, with a big robot creepily watching them.

While I got my start withArmored Coreon PS1,I fell off the serieswithArmored Core 4on PS3. I played that game a long time ago, but I vividly remember getting screamed at constantly for leaving the combat area. It’s not like there were laser walls or some kind of marker to inform me where the combat area was. I’d just strafe off to the side, and suddenly someone was threatening to cut all my systems.

Still, I’m interested in playingArmored Core VI: Fires of Rubiconto make up for the fact that I haven’t played the series since. Hopefully, no one shouts at me in this one. Or, at the very least, I hope someone puts up a sign to tell me where the combat area ends.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubiconis out on June 11, 2025 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
