Get to know the people who make great videogames

[Update: Thanks for watching everybody! Since the stream is over, I put up the Pocket Rumble episode of Two Best Friends up there in their place. Rumor has it a storm is coming…]

Capcom recently announcedStreet Fighter V, a game that you’d think a lot of people would be excited about. Instead, the general reaction seemed to be “looks a lot likeStreet Fighter IV, a game that I already bought four times”. Street Fighter fans seem to be hungry for something other than just a slightly prettier new version of the same old thing.

MaybePocket Rumblewill be more to their liking. It draws inspiration more from Neo Geo Pocket Color fighters likeSNK Vs. Capcom: Match of the MillenniumandSNK Gal Fightersthan any particularStreet Fighterrelease, but it’s still a fresh and familiar take on traditional 2D fighting games. It’s in the last couple days of it’s kickstarter campaign right now, with just a few thousand to go until it’s fully funded, so now is the time to get in there and back it if you want in on some perks.

We’ll be talking to the developers of the game today at 4pm EST about fighting game design,Pocket Rumble‘s generous host of guest characters, and a lot more. I hope to see you there.
