It’s-a me! Anabela! Today I’m a small variety streamer with a passion for friends, community, and good games. Destructoid’s recent “So You Think You Can Stream?” competition gave me the opportunity to work alongside them in content creation. But, how exactly did I get here?
Thanks to my older brother, I was introduced to my first game at age six:Pokemontrading cards. It wasn’t until I was nine that I got a Game Boy along with Fire Red, and after that I was completely hooked. I still keep relatively up to date with newPokemontrends, but my heart lies in Gen 3 of the games. My soul, however, belongs toPokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team&Explorers of Sky. Seriously, go play both of those games if you haven’t. Right now.
Shortly afterPokemoncame ’07RuneScape, and I blame my love ofRuneScapefor what type of gamer I am today. It’s not my fault that I need to attempt to min-max every game, ok? In essence, I have a vivid imagination, so fantasy MMO/RPG’s where I can really immerse, became my all time favorite genre. I’m hungrier than Aldrich for lore and love to drink in the music and scenery of a game. For this reason, games such asSkyrim, World of Warcraft, Dark Souls,andThe Witcher 3rapidly grew on me.
So, around this time last year, I started streaming. Why not share the hobbies you love while chatting about why you love them? To me, that’s one of the best opportunities the internet has to offer! I wanted to share a passion for my favorite games while playing through new ones together, and it’s incredible to have made so many wonderful friends along the way.
