Starfieldis the first new IP from Bethesda Game Studios in a quarter-century, and it’s understandably taking the gaming world by storm. As if to help get you in the spacefaring spirit, Microsoft has made aStarfield“dynamic” background available for Xbox Series S and Series X users, and …it’s effectively a JPEG.

It should be said that the dynamic backgroundlookscool — it’s the cover art ofStarfield— but “dynamic” isn’t the first word that comes to mind. It’s wholly unlike the dynamic background available through syncing the officialStarfieldXbox controller. That background features galactic lines moving ever-so-slightly across the screen.

If, despite this, you’d like to acquire this new background for yourself, start by jumping into your console’s settings. Then head over to the personalization menu, and navigate to your collected backgrounds / dynamic backgrounds. It’s here you should see the new “dynamic” Xbox theme.

All things considered, the new “dynamic” background might be one of the only things inStarfieldconsidered static. Destructoid’s Steven Mills awarded Bethesda’s latest withan elusive 10-out-of-10, saying, “Starfield is an epic sandbox open-world RPG with a beautifully immersive universe, a captivating story, and fun and compelling gameplay the whole way.”
