Scrub that dirty, filthy air

SimCityis due to receive its first major content expansion next week with the release ofCities of Tomorrow, which introduces a host of new building types like drone factories and air scrubbers. Check out the latest trailer above to see some of the new innovations.

As much as I loveSimCityas a series (particularly when it gets all sci-fi on me), the small map size for cities remains a dealbreaker for me. I miss being able to build a truly sprawling metroplex, instead of a whole bunch of smaller, regional cities. I do quite like the conflict they’re setting up in this expansion though, which puts corporate and academic innovation at odds with one another in a tongue-in-cheek manner.
