Confirmingearlierreports, Sega of America has announced today that it will be bringing seven classic titles to Xbox LIVE Arcade, and one classic title PlayStation Network, under the “Vintage Collection 2” banner.
Each title has been “re-worked for High-Definition,” and features online leaderboards and network play where applicable.Altered Beast, the arcade version ofShinobi,Comix Zone,Phantasy Star II,Sonic the Hedgehog 3, andSonic and Knucklesare all slated for release on XBLA. The good news for both PS3 and Xbox 360 owners is that the amazing Gunstar Heroes will be available on both PSN and XBLA… with online cooperative play. Show me that excitement, people.
No word on pricing, but we’re hoping for “not too much because we don’t want to feel bad about paying forGunstar Heroesagain.”
