The first DLC pack forMortal Kombatwent live today on both PlayStation Network and Xbox Live for $4.99 and 400 Microsoft Points, respectively. The pack contains all pre-order DLC, including the seven classic skins for Reptile, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Ermac, Mileena, Jade, and Kitana. Also included are the classic fatalities for Reptile, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero. And no, I’m not going to call classic “klassic” because it’s dumb, and it should’ve been “klassik” if you’rereallyinsisting on going nuts with the “k” thing....

TheNatural Disastersexpansion will be ready soon, though. It’s coming to consoles on May 15. You’ll be able to contend with (or set off) meteor strikes, forest fires, tsunamis, and earthquakes....

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2had a new trailer to show off during Konami’s pre-E3 event, and it’s looking pretty good. There’s tons of biting, slashing, and jumping action abound in this fairly lengthy video, showing off some of Dracula’s new and improved moves. Konami states that this is the “epic conclusion” to theLords of Shadowsaga, and that the game will “explain the story of Dracula in greater detail.” Some characters return from the original, including the Patrick Stewart voice Zobek, who was probably the best part of the first game....

Hack-n-slash in ancient Greece Announced only a year ago,Apotheonis getting ready to release in 2013, and it’s playable on the show floor here at PAX. At first glance it looks like a simple platformer or brawler, but the actual mechanics run deeper. Directional combat, flanking, climbing on walls and ceiling, brutal physics, item upgrading, and dialog choices make give this stylistic 2D game an interesting edge. I am way more interested in it now that I have had the chance to play it....

Call of Duty WWII holding on for Christmas #1 Last week saw the Xbox One release of open-world shooter,PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, parachute straight into the number four position of the UK Charts, breaking a Top Five ranking that has been fairly concrete for a few weeks. It wasn’t enough, however, to shakeCall of Duty: WWIIfrom its firm hold at the top, where it seems a shoe-in to be Christmas number one next week....

Where’s the Vita love? PlayStation Network has some great sales. In general, I mean. Not today. There are some sales, just not particularly great ones. After scheduling a spinoff film starring Spider-Man femme fatales Black Cat and Silver Sable for Jul 23, 2025, titledSilver & Black, Sony has removed the project from their release schedule. The game will be a follow-up to the 2004 game with original narrative designer Brian Mitsoda returning. This new title will take place in Seattle, Washington during the middle of a Blood War between several vampire factions. It seems all of the various themes, atmosphere, and dark humor of the original will remain intact....
