Destiny’s Agonarch Rune glitch has been fixed

Now you can get your Touch of Malice Normally a small bug fix wouldn’t warrant an update, but I’ve been talking to a bunch of people who have been affected by a recent glitch inDestiny, myself included. In essence, one of the best weapons in the game (theTouch of Malice, an Exotic scout rifle) is gated behind a quest that requires you to collect 45 Calficied Fragments around the world, among a few other requirements....

EA divulges Dead Space’s composer, when you’ll be able to buy the soundtrack

You can’t have a genuinely scary videogame without a tension-building soundtrack to set the mood. It’d be like watching a horror flick in broad daylight with a group of friends — it just doesn’t have the same effect as sitting alone in total darkness does. If you like being scared sh*tless as much as I do, then you’ll be glad to hear that EA is not skimping on the soundtrack forDead Space....

Finally controlling Beyond: Two Souls

Jodie in camo, in war-torn Somalia We’ve had our time with upcoming PS3 titleBeyond: Two Soulsbefore, but only briefly. But for E3 we’ve finally got our first sizable hands-on with Quantic Dream’s latest, and it surprised me in several ways. First surprise? Seeing Jodie (played by actress Ellen Page) in camouflage, hunkered down in what looked to be a heated situation in Somalia. We’ve seen her fighting on trains, trying out her hand at being homeless, and blowing up a city’s main street — all settings fitting in with what we know about the game’s storyline....

Atari and Mega Cat Studioshave releasedFood Fight: Culinary Combat, a multi-player reimagining of the somewhatbizarre 1983 arcade game, into Early Access. The catch is that, right now, it’s exclusively available on the Atari VCS. As a note of disclosure, I did a stint with Mega Cat Studios writing for their blog and for a still unannounced (and maybe canceled?) game. They weren’t working onFood Fightat the time, as far as I know....

gamescom to be even bigger in 2012

I’m just winding down from one of the busiest years I’ve ever had, so it’s hard to think about next year’s major gaming events already. Europe’s biggest event, gamescom, is already in the planning stages. Registration is open now! Can’t a guy take a break for a month or so? Next year’s event will have “considerably more exhibition space,” according to organizers. Right now they’re working with exhibitors to reserve their space on the event’s 140,000 square metres of available space, which comes out to 16 percent more than last year’s already huge floor offering....
