How many Switch consoles do you have at this point? It was a very good year for the Switch. The console/portable hybrid skyrocketed in sales, landing squarely in the top five all-time listing: directly below the PS4 (though Nintendo is poised to beat that with their next earning’s report). Today, the co-op roguelike game added the Loader–a returning survivor from the originalRisk of Rain–alongside a new stage (Siren’s Call), character skins, and unlockable skill variants. Yesterday, EA sent over this Robert Duvall developer diary forThe Godfather II. It’s pretty standard fare — Joel Wade, the game’s Senior Producer, interviews Duvall about his film role and his opinion on aspects of the videogame — but it’s worth watching if you like Duvall as an actor, which I do. Still a chunk o’ change In the wake of the new-and-improvedSonic the Hedgehogmovie trailer, featuring the freshly-redesigned Blue Blur, there has been talk of how much cash it might have cost the production company to re-sculpt the little fella. A since-deleted tweetby user TRAFON claimed that the redesign cost production $35 million USD. This went viral, despite there being little evidence that this was anything more than a rough guess. Since then,Indiewire has been in contact with“a source close to production”, who informed them that the number was in the region of $5 million USD – still an insane amount of money to you or I, but likely a drop in the ocean for Paramount Pictures....
