Square Enix’Octopath Travelerhas proved an amazing success. This week, the official twitter account for the Switch RPG thanked fans for helping the game pass the one million sales mark.
The impressive number, which includes physical sales and digital downloads, is made even more of an achievement because of the game’s lack of physical stock in Japan. I wonder how much bigger that number might be had there been enough copies to go around at launch.
With its entertaining cast of characters, nostalgic sprite-work, unique story-telling methods and beautiful aesthetics, Octopath Travelerhas won the hearts of a huge conglomerate of video game fans, which has translated to financial success for those responsible in bringing it to Nintendo’s baby.
