Capcom may not be in the good graces of fans any time soon, but supporting Japanese indies is a step in the right direction at least. The maligned giant has joined dōjin publisher Nyu Media in an effort to bring these “sewing circle” games to wider audiences through digital download services.

Titles like theeXceed Collection, a trio of renowned bullet hell shooters developed by Tennen-sozai, are currently available throughGameStop,CapcomandGamersGate. You can also nab their games and a couple free trials through throughMangaGamer, who also have a variety of visual novels on offer. And for all you freedom-hating pirates out there, I’m sure you’ll be delighted to hear that Nyu Media’s catalog is DRM-free.
