Batman fans out there might already be itching for a follow-up to the “beautifully bleak”Arkham City, but Warner Brothers has another game based off the DC Comics franchise coming down the pipeline this winter — the ever so strange looking first-person shooter,Gotham City Impostors. While we’ve previously had a look at the upcoming downloadable’smultiplayer, this new trailer illustrates the game’s premise with some comic book-style animation.

Unlike a traditional superhero title, there isn’t a singular hero or villain inImpostors.Instead players take control of customizable vigilantes or criminals that bear resemblance totheBatman and Joker to duke it out in a variety of multiplayer modes inspired by the license. If that sounds like it might be your jam, head over game’sofficial sitefor a chance to get in on the console beta that will be going on later this month. The full game will be making its way to XBLA, PSN, and PC starting January 10th.
