Slowly catching up to the PC version

It was only a month ago whenRise of Tiamat, the fifth expansion for the free-to-play MMONeverwinter, was released on Xbox One. At the time, I noted that while it was a decent update, it still meant the Xbox One version of the game wasreallyfar behind its PC counterpart, which will be releasingits seventh expansion next week.

Apparently Perfect World was listening, asthey have now announcedthat expansion number six,Elemental Evil, will be coming to the Xbox One in September.Elemental Evilon Xbox One will incorporate the additions of four smaller expansions from PC:Elemental Evil, Fury of the Feywild, Shadowmantle, andCurse of Icewind Dale.

This is going to be a really, really big expansion forNeverwinter: raising the level cap to 70, adding in a whole new questline fighting against elemental cults, and Icewind Dale was added as a new zone to explore too.

There is still no word on when the upcomingStrongholdsexpansion will make the jump to the console, but considering I haven’t finished theElemental Evilcontent yet, it should be enough to keep people going into it fresh interested.

I really likeNeverwinter.Considering two million people play it on Xbox One (according to Perfect World), it’s nice to see the game slowly trying to get some sort of parity between versions. It’s a shameStrongholdswon’t be getting a simultaneous release though.
