4K Phantom Pain on PC
Buried in last last week’sPS4/PS3/360/One/PC comparison shotsofMetal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain(they all look great!) are the underlying technical performance of the five versions.
The PS3 and 360 versions both run at 720p, 30fps, and it’s still kind of amazing that this game is coming to those consoles at all, though I’ve talked about how I’m kind of looking forward to them getting their last releases (not all companies are releasing games to them with this level of quality and care).

On PS4, it’s 1080p, 60fps, likeGround Zeroes. The Xbox One saw a bump up fromGround Zeroes‘ 720p, 60fps to 900p, 60fps inThe Phantom Pain.
And if you are the sort of person who cares deeply about these numbers, you’ll be happy to know the PC version (4K resolution) has beenpushed upto launch right beside the others September 1. The caveat is that theMetal Gear Onlinecompetitive multiplayer, which is delayed until October 6 on consoles, isn’t coming to PC until January 2016.
