May 14th release date confirmed outside of Japan

Last we heard, theBlade WolfDLCforMetal Gear Rising: Revengeancewould be dropping on May 9th in Japan, but now we have confirmation from Konami on a solid May 14th US release date. It’ll be available for $6.99 (560 MSP), which is $3 cheaper than theJetstreamDLC.

Konami informed us that within the add-on, wolf model LQ-84i is reactivated by the Desperado group, and the DLC tells his story prior to him battling and joining Raiden (and thus, before adopting his proper “Blade Wolf” moniker). The DLC promises unique abilities for LQ-84i, as well as an “all new boss battle.”

Well, at least it hassomethingnew going for it, unlike their last attempt, which had zero new encounters. While the reduced price has me a bit wary, at the very least I hope it’s fun to flip around with the master mecha-wolf himself. Expect a full review closer to launch.
