After years of waiting, Valve has finally releasedMeet the Pyro, introducing us to the sugar-coated world ofTeam Fortress 2‘s masked flame fan. As you might expect from something fans have been aching for … it was met with a significant amount of whining from the audience.

People are mad because the Pyro remains masked and there’s no definitive proof that it’s a male or female. It was decided by some fans a while ago that the Pyro is a lady, and without proof, they’re crying up a storm. This is stupid, because masked characters are awesome, and they become distinctly less awesome when you take the mask off. See: Kane from WWE, Judge Dredd, Darth Vader, and almost every other masked character everywhere.
