Tecmo’sDead or Alive 5 UltimateArcade‘s most recent trailer gives a small glimpse of its newest fighter: a Gothic Lolita named Marie Rose.
The mysterious blonde specializes in the Russian martial arts known as systema — a hand-to-hand combat technique that focuses on controlling thesix body levers (neck, elbows,waist, knees, shoulders, and ankles) through striking andpressure pointapplication.
Currently, the latest iteration ofDead or Alive 5 Ultimateis set to release in Japanese arcades this winter. While there is no confirmation that the latest edition to the game’s roster will come to home consoles — either in another version of the game or as DLC — if Tecmo’s track record forreleasing additional contentfor the series is any indication, then I’m willing to bet we’ll see Marie Rose in our homes soon enough.
