One of thenew features introduced inDiablo 4Season 3is the addition of WASD movement. The long-requested feature allows players to move using the WASD keys on their keyboard as opposed to clicking to move with the mouse. However, to make use of the new feature, you first need to enable it. Here is how to turn on WASD movement inDiablo 4, with options that still use the mouse to attack and an option that removes it completely.
Enable WASD movement in the Options
Thankfully, enabling WASD movement inDiablo 4is easy. To turn on WASD movement, hit the Escape key to head into the Options and then go to the Controls menu. Under Key Bindings, the second option should be Preset which has a drop-down box. The drop-down should now have two new options: Keyboard Movement and Keyboard Only. Both of these options will enable
Differences between Keyboard Movement and Keyboard Only
With the introduction of WASD movement inDiablo 4Season 3, you actually have two options. First is Keyboard Movement. This will make it so your character moves with the WASD keys on the keyboard. However, you’ll still attack using the mouse just as you would normally. The left click will be your resource generator while the right click will be your damage dealer.
If you don’t want to use your mouse at all, you can go with the Keyboard Only option. I’m not too sure this is a great idea, but hey it is an option. With this selected, you’ll also set two keys to use for your attacks as opposed to clicking your mouse buttons. Thankfully, you can change these keys to whatever you prefer. In my opinion, it’s a bit difficult to aim in the right direction to attack enemies when you’re attacking and moving using the keyboard.
