There’s something about a T-Rex that just holds universal appeal, and the same can be said forFFXIVTyrannosaur Mount. TheFinal Fantasy XIV: Stormbloodera ride drops from Eureka, the expansion’s Relic zone. But don’t worry, the dino doesn’t ask you to journey very far.
If you’re eager for anFFXIVT-Rex of your own, we’ll explain how to get the Tyrannosaur Mount from Eureka’s first zone, Anemos.

How to get the FFXIV Tyrannosaur Mount
Just like the adorableWind-Up Fafnir, you’ll need to tackleStormblood’sEureka Relic zones to get a T-Rex mount. The Tyrannosaur is one of dozens of possible rewards from anAnemos Lockbox.
To begin, unlock Eureka by completing the 4.0 storyline up to the ‘Stormblood’ Main Scenario Quest. You’ll also need to reach Level 70, then speak toGalinea in Rhalgar’s Reach (X: 9.8, Y: 12.5). That should begin the ‘And We Shall Call it Eureka’ quest.

Follow the quest chain through its Kugane tasks before finally landing at Pier #1. Speak to Rodney to enter Eureka. He offers you a ride into the first zone, Eureka Anemos. Once in the instance, you’ll interact with Krile to work through the story and level, battling in FATEs as you go. While grinding, you should receive an Anemos Lockbox here and there.
Return to the Anemos starting area and have theExpedition Lockpickopen your Anemos Lockbox stash. Hopefully, one of those treasure chests yield a shiny newFFXIVT-Rex mount. Unfortunately, this one isn’t tradeable, so you’ll have to rely on luck and not an easier trip to the Market Board. Thankfully, the Tyrannosaur Horn summoning item isn’t particularly rare, so you should score one in Anemos without much hassle.

And for the mount collectors, make sure to circle back to ourFFXIVKamuy of the Nine Tails guide, too.
