While Nick Chester made sure to get all theglamorous Capcom newsup this morning, it’s down to your old friend Jim Sterling to do the sh*t nobody cares about. Sadly,Sengoku Basarais a game I’mactuallyreally interested in, speaking as the only game reviewer in the business who likesDynasty Warriors.
Capcom is hoping that we all forgot aboutDevil Kings, a badly localized version of the originalSengoku Basarathat was absolutely awful. Billing this as the “first”Sengoku Basaragame to hit the west, this Koei-inspired hack n’ slash game is an all-new Wii installment and, unlikeDevil Kings, is set to retain the Japanese history angle that had originally been cut for Western gamers.
Looks highly promising. I always loved the character design forBasara, and if the gameplay has been improved, this could seriously threaten to take my attention away fromDynasty Warriors. At least for an hour or two.
