There have been a number of live-actionMega Manfan films, but I don’t believe there have been any live-actionXfilms… until now.
This video, courtesy of YouTuber Olan Rogers, examines X’s hibernation period prior to awakening. As per the game’s backstory, X slept for 100 years, though he was only supposed to remain in his capsule for 30. During this time, he was submitted to numerous morality checks to ensure he wouldn’t go berserk. This is one such test, in which X battles a virtual construct of Proto Man in order to gauge his brutality.
I must admit, the costumes are pretty funky, and not in a good way — X looks like a blue Iron Man while Proto Man looks like a Beetleborg. Still, the effects and action are pretty bitchin’, so it’s all good.
