Destructoid has received several emails fromGotham City Impostorsplayers, letting us know that a significant number of player profiles keep getting reset by a bug. Even worse, if a victim bought any downloadable content, it’ll no longer associated with their account, so the money’s been lost.

This issue seems to be affecting both Xbox 360 and PS3 users. The issue was allegedly noted in the beta, but it hasn’t been fixed if it’s still happening.

The game’s official message board currently has a56-page threadon the issue, to which the community manager has responded. He’s confirmed there is an issue that Monolith is working on, but hasn’t said much more beyond that. That was several days ago though, and no further response has been had from official quarters.

We recently contact Warner Bros. on the issue, but haven’t heard anything back yet. As soon as we do, we’ll let you know what’s up, because if players run the risk of having their time and money wasted, that’s something that shouldn’t be kept quiet. Seriously.
