July 11-13 in San Francisco
GaymerX2, the world’s only gaming convention focused on LGBTQ communities, launched a Kickstarter to fund their July 11-13 event two days ago. They were looking for $10,000, but managed to beat that (it’s at $12,683) in just two days.
Last year, over 2,300 gamers attended GaymerX, so they’re coming back with an even stronger second year. Guests this year include BioWare lead writer David Gaider, Gordon Bellamy, John Scalzi, Mattie Brice, and many more. Their special guest is WWE Superstar Darren Young. Superstar game music composer/arranger (and dear friend)virtwill be playing in the Saturday night concert.
And while I’m not a guest in any way, yours truly is also planning to attend.
Though the goal has been met,there are still plenty of stretch goals to conquer. For example, $20,000 will add a cosplay party!
