The Final Chapter

Gun Media has announced that its asymmetrical horror titleFriday the 13th: The Gamewill be delisted this December, following the expiration of the studio’s license. The multiplayer massacre will then continue to operate until “at least” the end of 2024 for those who already own it.

Released in the summer of 2017,Friday the 13th: The Gameis an adaptation of the classic “slasher movie” series, and sees parties of Crystal Lake camp counselors attempt to stay five steps ahead of the blade of unstoppable serial killer Jason Voorhees. The title has already suffered through licensing issues, which caused the servers to be switched off momentarily in 2020, but it seems that this time, the red tape is far more unkillable than our hockey mask-sporting psycho.
