Experience Final Fantasy will go down on Friday, August 31 from 1-9 p.m. at the ACT Theater in Seattle. The public is invited to play Final Fantasy series games and join in activities at the event, with posters to be given out and prizes to be won. The big deal for this event is that a special announcement from Square Enix’s staff, including creators Yoshinori Kitase (producer), Motomu Toriyama (director) and Isamu Kamikokuryo (art director), will bring new details on the direction of Lightning’s story. New game, maybe?

Later this year, on December 7, the official25th Anniversary Distant Worlds: The Celebrationconcert takes place in Chicago. This is a special, exclusive event with new song arrangements that will celebrate music from the entire Final Fantasy series. Composer Nobuo Uematsu will be in attendance.
