A realistic racer being position with the likes of Forza and Gran Turismo
The Examineris reporting that Ubisoft Reflections, the studio behindDriver: San Francisco,is working on a new racing game calledThe Crew. A source details that the project is a “realistic title, possibly being positioned againstForzaandGran Turismo.”The Crewis expected to hit the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and current generation consoles.
According toEurogamer,The Crewmay be a co-production with Ivory Tower, the France-based studio made up of a team that’s worked on games such asNeed for Speed, V-Rally,and the recentTest Drive Unlimited.
All rumors for now, but I expect we’ll be hearing something on all this duringUbisoft’s E3 press conference. The real question is, do we need yet another simulation racer?Forza 5,Gran Turismo 6,DriveClub,Need for Speed: Rivals, and more are all coming down the road already.
