LEGO Fortniteis here, and as it turns out, it’san open-world survival simulatorakin toMinecraft, with the blocky goodness that only LEGO can provide. But, as players dive into their own user-generated world, one question seems to be prevalent above all others: doesLEGO Fortnitegive Battle Pass XP?

It’d make sense if it did, and it’d make sense if it didn’t. I mean, it’s still aFortniteexperience at the end of the day, but also, if players can max out the Battle Pass throughLEGO Fortnite, some might never touch the Battle Royale mode in favor of spending all their time crafting and building their own world.

Can you earn Battle Pass XP throughLEGO Fortnite?

It would seem the answer is a resounding YES. To be honest, I wasn’t at all convinced until, after having playedLEGO Fortnitefor an hour, I exited my world to find that I had gained two levels (and 10 Battle Stars) from this new experience alone. It’s a shame this XP gain isn’t plainly shown on screen, but it happened for me nonetheless.

You might not notice any kind of notification of having gained new levels in LEGO Fortnite — this is probably to maintain immersion since it couldn’t be more different from its older, more violent sibling — but rest assured, your experience does indeed carry over.

It’s not yet clear what the conversion rate is, or how fast levels are gained in the Battle Pass, but I’d imagine it’s a similar rate at which you’d earn levels in other creative modes. So, take a breather from the heart-pounding action of Battle Royale and build a quaint town (and defeat various monsters) inLEGO Fortnite!
