It’s time to dive intoDisney Dreamlight Valley’sStorybook Vale and explore Mythopia. As you clear away the ink leading into this region, you’re met with new Snippets, critters, and quests to complete, with A Land of Myths and Legends being your introduction to it.
A Land of Myths and Legends quest walkthrough
You’ll first begin the A Land of Myths and Legends quest by unlocking the Elysian Fields. Here, you’ll findDemon and Bird Snippets, tons of ink, and broken marble pillars scattered around. More importantly, though, you’ll spot your second Fairy Tale Trial gateway in the southern portion of the biome.
You’ll get another task upon stepping up to it: visit the Lorekeeper about the gate. They’ll comment on its beauty before you begin to describe the situation at hand. This time, they’ll call it a Mythic Trial, and recommend you visit Merida before continuing.
Once you approach Merida, she’ll quickly express her eagerness to visit the gate. You don’t even have to attempt to convince her, as she’ll start running shortly after you break the news. However, before stopping at the Mythic Trial, she’ll comment on some floating blue flames that remind her of Will-o’-the-Wisps.
You’ll need to catch them, but you won’t need any tools. Just run up to them and press E or your platform’s interact button to pick up both. The first is right near Merida, while the other will fly around nearby.
With that detour done, head to the Mythic Trial and speak to Merida. She’ll mention the wheel is jammed, prompting you to toss those blue flames into each torch. Now, you can hit the wheel and unlock the Mythic Trial gate to conclude the A Land of Myths and Legends quest, leading directly into the Guts and Glory mission.
The Elysian Fields Mythic Trial guide
Entering the Elysian Fields Mythic Trial marks the beginning of the Guts and Glory quest. It’s similar to the Fairy Tale Trial you tackled in The Wild Woods, but it’s more suited to an ancient mythology theme.
The purpose of this trial isfor you to meet Hades, the god of the Underworld, and help him move some vases from one end of the area to the other. Overall, it isn’t too complicated, but you’ll need to think outside the box for a few of these.
More specifically, you’ll have to go around, hit various golden wheels with yourRoyal Net, and navigate a few bridges. You’ll also need your fishing rod for one of the bridges, which you’ll find hiding under a sandy whirlpool.
At the end of it all, you’ll spot the Source of Corruption, similar to the one you found in the Wild Woods trial. Interacting with this will bring you one step closer to completingStorybook Vale’smain storyline and introducing you to a new villainous friend.
