Diabloon mobile is going to be a dangerous prospect for some of us. Blizzard closed out its BlizzCon conference withDiablo Immortal, an action-RPG for iOS and Android that promises “authenticDiablogameplay at your fingertips.” It’s set between the last two games with “20 years of untold stories.”

Familiar character classes like the Barbarian, Necromancer, Demon Hunter, Wizard, Crusader, and my boy the Monk return for loot-earning heroics. You’ll be able to visit Westmarch and team up with friends or strangers in dynamic events and instanced dungeons. On its site, Blizzard saysDiablo Immortalwill let players explore Sanctuary “in apersistent, always-online adventure anywhere, anytime.”
The game will launch with nine outdoor zones. (Here’s a peek at the map.) Classes will have 12 skills or more, with the ability for you to assign any five of them at one time to an “active skill button.”
You canpre-register forDiablo Immortal, and by signing up, you’ll have a chance of gaining beta access and earning exclusive rewards. As for the release date, we’re in “coming soon” territory.
We’re going to get another fullDiablosequel at some point, but in the meantime, I’ll enjoy this.
