Racking up quite a phone bill

While NPD data only accounts for physical releases in the states,Call of Dutygeneral manager Rob Kostich said the latest release was the best-selling globally by a “wide-margin in both units and dollars.”

The continued success of the franchise, which didn’t really dip or fatigue after a particularly tepidCall of Duty: Ghostsbefore getting super futuristic withAdvanced Warfareand 12th main entry in the series,Black Ops III, has lead to the series selling over 250 million copies to date.

“This also marks the seventh year in a row thatCall of Dutyhas been the #1 selling franchise in North America, according to NPD,” Kostich said. “In fact,Call of Dutyhas surpassed 250 million units sold life-to-date worldwide.”
