Unlike some recent major releases from Ubisoft,Prince of Persia: The Lost Crownhas a modest selection by comparison. There’s nocollector’s edition likeAvatarfans have been treated to, and there’s only one upgrade from the base game. Maybe Ubisoft is just testing the waters after such a long time between games.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown – Deluxe Edition
The Deluxe Edition ofPrince of Persia: The Lost Crownis the highest tier (read: most expensive) version available. It comes with the base game, the Deluxe Pack, and early access to the game.
The Deluxe Pack contains the Immortals Outfit, the Prosperity Bird Amulet, and the Digital Adventure Guide, all pictured above. The biggest gameplay enhancement here is the Prosperity Bird Amulet, as it lets you summon a bird to find hidden treasures, which will no doubt come in handy.
As for early access, if you buy the Deluxe Edition, you’ll get the game three days early, on January 15 instead of January 18.
If you’ve really been waiting since 2010 for a newPrince of Persiagame, then you’ll probably enjoy the Digital Adventure Guide, as it promises to reveal more about the mysteries surrounding the game’s locale, Mount Qaf.
ThePrince of Persia: The Lost CrownDeluxe Edition is on sale for $59.99, which is a $10 increase over the base game. The Deluxe Edition is also the version of the game that comes with Ubisoft’s subscription service, Ubisoft+. That’s available from $14.99 per month and also gives you access to over 100 other games, including day one releases likeAvatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
