Who are the Old Gods of Asgard, anyway?
The Old Gods of Asgard is a fictional heavy metal band in the Remedy Universe. They made their debut in the originalAlan Wakeback in 2010, and since made their way into other Remedy games. The band itself is actually the “alter ego” of the Finnish rock band Poets of the Fall, as explainedon their website. They weren’t the ones behind the music heard during the chapter transitions of the game, though. If you want to check those out, you may find the liston Spotify.
But the Old Gods are behind the earworm that is “Herald of Darkness.” You should check out thefull music videoafteryou make your way through the game if you have the 10 minutes to spare. It’s worth making the time just to see the real-life actors dance on stage next to Sam Lake.
