Ubisoft revealed today that the previously announcedFar Cry 2is being developed for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.
In development by Ubisoft’s Montreal studio, the next-gen first-person shooter is being built from the ground up using an in-house engine. Ubisoft is claiming thatFar Cry 2will feature a truly open world, set in “one of the most beautiful environments in the world,” Africa. I’ve always thought the most beautiful environment in the world was Seacaucus, New Jersey, but what do I know?
The game is scheduled to ship fiscal 2008 – 2009, which is to say “not any time soon.”
