I make no secret ofmy lovefor 1996’sDuke Nukem 3D. I’d go as far as saying it’s the best first-person shooter ever created and has never been matched. Aided by Ken Silverman’s legendary 2.5D Build Engine, it contains some of the best level designs to ever grace the genre. Moreover, its levels feature this strange and lonely atmosphere that I rarely ever see duplicated in games. Usually, when it is, it’s fleeting....

At first glance, it appears to be just like every other metallic chest that’s submerged underwater, although this one also has the honour of being partly buried beneath the sandy ocean floor. Evidently, first impressions can be deceiving. You see, despite its modest appearance, this singular chest has been the subject of great intrigue, simply because it’s proven itself to be surprisingly difficult to reach through legitimate in-game means....
I’m a sucker for what you’d call “deep lore” in modern media. The stuff that’s hidden, merely implied, and deliberately obtuse is often the best part of backstories in gaming, and FromSoftware’sElden Ringabsolutely falls into this category. Some people getreallyweird and creative with it, though. Please note that none of this is meant to be a critique: I myself have gone off the deep endwhen it comes toDestinylore, for example, and there’s plenty of merit to be had in this respect....

They all take down some bad guys, steal their loot, and make way for extraction. After calling in the extraction chopper, the team of three turns on the newcomers, going rogue. However, one kept his standing and dispatched the two rogue agents, taking everything for himself....

When will we get a another non-assassin? While Blizzard was initially well-tempered in its ability to release multiple roles, they’ve been in a routine as of late withHeroes of the Storm. The last four characters have not only been from theWarcraftuniverse, but they’ve also been assassins to boot. While I’m generally okay with this, as Varian was partially a warrior and Ragnaros is one of the most fun heroes to date, they’ve going a bit overboard with Valeera — the fifthWarcraftassassin in a row....
