Currently ‘no plans’ to bring Resident Evil 5’s DLC to PC

In recent years, Capcom has made some great progress in terms of becoming invested in PC gaming. The developer’s last couple of major releases have seen solid ports, and in many cases, their exclusive goodies make these the versions you’d want to get above all else. I’m not saying the company is perfect — simultaneous PC and console releases, please? — but it’s certainly a major step up from the days ofResident Evil 4on PC....

Destructoid review: Top Spin 3

Those who watched Sunday’sepic five-set Wimbledon Men’s Singles finalbetween World No. 1 Roger Federer and No. 2 Rafael Nadal saw one for the ages: a match that has already been hailed as the best Wimbledon final, and three-time Wimbledon champ John McEnroe even called it “the greatest match [he’s] ever seen.” Tennis hasn’t ever been as popular in America as, say, football or baseball, but that doesn’t mean that the sport is filled with any less drama, action, or athleticism on the court/field/pitch/what have you....

EDF: Insect Armageddon doing retailer-exclusive DLC

Yikes.Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddonhas a couple of rewards to go along with pre-orders, and they’re bumming me out a little. GameStop is giving out the “Pounds of Pain!” pack, which contains 15 exclusive weapons; Best Buy has the “Death from Above!” pack, also with 15 weapons. You can read more about the individual items below, if you’re thinking of reserving. Presumably, these weapons will only be truly worthwhile initially when your stockpile is so low....

Final Fantasy IV OST re-release shows ultimate form

Remastered, unreleased tracks, Yoshitaka Amano artwork Final Fantasy IVis easily one of my favorite soundtracks in the series. That’s probably because it contains one of my favorite tracks of all time, “Troian Beauty.” Square Enix apparently agrees and is re-releasing the long out-of-print soundtrack, but with added goodies to sweeten the deal further. As to what’s included with theFinal Fantasy IV Original Sound Track Remaster Version(I’m a little bummed they dropped the “Original Sound Version” subtitle), remastered tracks will feature two loops as opposed to the original’s single-loop versions (this is probably why this album spans two discs as opposed to the original’s one), along with unreleased music from the game and a sleeve containing new artwork by artist Yoshitaka Amano for first-press editions....

JJ Abrams hated the most recent Star Trek game

He felt it may have even hurt the movie The videogame tie-in forStar Trek Into Darknesswas prettypoorly received, and JJ Abrams, the movie’s director, is bummed out about it. Mario Party Star Rush will not continue the bad ‘car’ mechanic from recent iterations

Nice NintendoannouncedMario Party Star Rushyesterdayburied in a press release, but today they’re giving it a bit more fanfare. In addition to showing actual gameplay, they detailed a few of the game’s systems. It seems like it’ll sport competitive boss battles (where players attempt to deal more damage and earn more points than one another), andseparate movement— so characters aren’t all relegated to the same “car” while rolling dice and traversing across the board (which they will do simultaneously)....

Metal Gear Solid V’s $179M day not enough to top sports games

Third-best selling in September Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Painmade headlines for its$179 million opening day global sales, but here in the United States,Metal Gearwas outsold in September by two sports titles,NBA 2K16andMadden 16. Of course, those two — and most major sports releases — are regularly, year-after-year, among the very best-selling games of the year. The Phantom Painobviously did well.
