David Cage’s studio is publishing a story-driven game about a roadtrip across a divided America

Dustborn It has been a while since we’ve heard anything from David Cage’s studio, Quantic Dream. AfterDetroit: Become Humanin 2018, the developer has mostly been silent apart from some PC ports of games that were previously PlayStation exclusives. Now we know Quantic Dream’s newest game, but not in a developer capacity. It’s publishing an indie game that seems like it spiritually fits among everything in Cage’s portfolio. Quantic Dream is publishingDustborn, which is a story-driven adventure game that’s set to come to PC and consoles sometime next year....

Dawn of War III’s multiplayer is a bit underwhelming

Dawn of Meh I can’t say I’ve ever been a particularly big fan of real-time strategy games’ multiplayer portions. I know that sounds crazy (seeing as howStarCraftis almost a national sport in Korea), but I like devising tactics and executing them against AI more than other humans. When playing against living beings, I typically don’t think as fast due to my lack of ability in the genre. I don’t do well with micromanaging or base building....

Destructoid’s award for Overall Best Game of 2020 goes to…

Hades Overall Best Game of the Year. The big trophy. The gold medal. It’s a lot of pressure! Over the years, many polished AAA titles earn that honor due to their sheer popularity (notice how I added polish in that as a qualifier, sorryCyberpunk 2077!): if everyone has played it, it stands to earn more votes. But it’s not “AAA Game of the Year,” it’s “Game of the Year.” EnterHades....

Dragon Quest X sales and shipments stopped for 3DS temporarily

Square Enix wants to get the game under control Dragon Quest Xhit the 3DS in Japan, and it did so well that Square Enix is temporarily halting the shipments of the game. Wait, what? Drawn into the huge world of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Bigger than big If you sawour E3 preview ofThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, you’d know that the game’s world is so big that it takes 40 minutes to travel across on horseback. It’s one thing to say that, but it’s another to see it and really get a sense for just how big that is. A new segment of the game shown off at gamescom this week does a nice job of showing just how bit the open world ofThe Witcher 3is, as well as just how muchCD Projekt RED has packed it full of things to see and do....
