Hopefully not another light gun game Hold on a sec: Wouldn’t aResident Evilgame calledUmbrella Corpsebe the most exciting thing to happen to the series sinceResident Evil 4? You can have that one for free, Capcom. (Kidding, pay me.) Capcom has trademarked “Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps” in Europe and Japan. Come watch PlayStation’s E3 press conference with us!

We’re getting to the finish line It may not feel like it, but we’re closing in on the proper beginning of E3. It technically started on Saturday afternoon, but that was justpre-E3 stuff. Sony’s set to take the stage in its usual spot, the last presser before the convention opens up on Tuesday (Nintendo’s Direct-thing notwithstanding.) What is PlayStation up to this year? It’s gotta be games, right? Sony launched three pieces of PlayStation hardware in three months last year, so don’t expect anything like that to happen again....

Dating sim action game Eternights brings love to the apocalypse

All’s fair in love and war I love action games, and I love dating sims — how did it never occur to me that theycould be one and the same?Eternightswas announced during today’sState of Play, and promises to bring both the adventure and romance we’ve all been craving. The trailer shows off some fast-paced, energic hack-and-slash gameplay, which is contrasted by a few moments that show off a beautiful 2D art style, which is presumably where the dating part comes in....

Madden NFL 11, this year’s iteration of the perennial best-selling football franchise, is due out on August 10th. E3 10: Enjoy these sorta new Pokemon Black/White pics

Overon the Japanese websiteforPokemon Black/White, we’re given a look at some of therecently divulgednew Pokemon in not-completely-horrible form, which has always been my favorite form when it comes to pictures of pocket monsters (or digital monsters, even). Besides showing what the gang looks like in-game, there are some great screenshots of the world, the revamped Pokedex, and what looks to be some weird, potentially awesome connectivity betweenBlack/Whiteand the Internet. Huh?...

After pulling myself away fromJohann Sebastian Joustfor a few minutes, I got to spend some time playingThe Moonlightersat E3’s IndieCade. The Moonlightersis being developed by Red Dragon, which currently only consists of two guys: Teddy Diefenbach and Mike Sennott. E3: Recap of the Sony press conference

Sony closed out the day with its press conference, and while nothing too crazy was put on display, it was an all-around decent showing. I would’ve liked to see more Vita titles, personally, but not everything at E3 needs to necessarily get that kind of special treatment. The Last of Uslooked positively thrilling and was certainly my highlight. BothGod of War: Ascensionand Quantic Dream’sBeyond, on the other hand, seemed like what you would expect....

That includes the Wii U, and its utterly confusing naming and color scheme that played tricks on casual consumers even to to this day. Speaking to alist, GameStop’s CEO Paul Raines agrees....
