Sony has had to suspend all PlayStation Store services in South Korea following a new ruling that says companies cannot ask for the real names and ages of minors when taking payment details. The so-called Game Industry Promotion Act is set to take effect on July 1, but since Sony won’t be able to alter its service in time, it’s taking the whole thing down now. Walking the frozen mile Developer/publisher Microids has revealed plans to release a physical compilation of all three titles in itsSyberiaadventure series. The three games will be compiled asSyberia Trilogy, and will release on Nintendo Switch October 31. Syberiafollows the epic journey of young attorney Kate Walker, who travels to the small French village of Valadilene to negotiate a deal on behalf of her company. According to Tecmo’s new president, Itagaki’s former stable Team Ninja hasthree new videogamesin the works. Despite the loss of its leader, the studio will continue, although we don’t knowquitewhat it has up its sleeves, with no dates, platforms or details announced. All will be revealed at TGS, though. Team Ninja is the jewel in Tecmo’s arguably small crown, and has been responsible for the vast majority of its success. Without Itagaki, and with other personnel known to have abandoned Tecmo, it remains to be seen whether Team Ninja can sink or swim on its own....

Goat (Sacrifice) Simulator It’s not uncommon for developers to travel to far and distant lands to immerse themselves in the culture that they aim to represent in the videogames they’re creating. What is uncommon (I imagine) is to watch a goat get sacrificed. But, that’s what the developers ofFar Cry 4did. On a trip to Nepal, theFar Cry 4team watched a goat get slaughtered as an offering to Kali. If I were tagging along, I think I could get the lay of the land without partaking in ritual sacrifice, so I’d have opted right out of that portion....
